BPCL values and respects your privacy and recognizes the need for implementing measures to safeguard your data and information in compliance with Republic Act No. 10173, otherwise known as the “Data Privacy Act” and its implementing rules and regulations.

Please know that you are not required to provide your personal information when you use this site. However, should you wish to leave any personal information, kindly do so by using the “Contact Us” section of this website. Rest assured that BPCL shall only use this information to communicate with you and provide you with the information you requested. However, data may be collected to properly assist you in your legal concerns and/or to assist you pursuant to our engagement agreement, if any. Unless specifically required by law, BPCL will not share your personal information with any third party. 

You understand that if you provide us with any Personal Data relating to a third party (e.g. information of your spouse, children, parents, and/or employees), by submitting such information to us, you represent to us that you have obtained the consent of the third party to provide us with their Personal Data for the respective purposes in accordance with this Policy.

When you browse our website, you generally do so anonymously. We do not automatically collect Personal Data unless you provide such information. However, BPCL may utilize your Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser details, geolocation, operating system, other visitor details collected in order to administer and improve the site, and to enhance the user experience. BPCL may also employ third-party services to analyze user data which shall be solely used for improvement of this website. Said information will not be able to identify your personal information. 

This site may contain external links, you are advised to review the Privacy Policy of said external links. BPCL Law shall not be held liable for any breach or leak personal data and/or information that may arise from visiting said external link.

Rest assured that organizational, physical, and technical security measures are maintained, enforced and implemented at all times to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and security of your personal information.

We will generally retain your personal information for so long as the purposes for which we collected and processed them remain and until such purposes have been served. In general, we will retain your personal information for a period of five (5) years, unless a shorter or longer period is prescribed by applicable laws, rules, regulations, and or internal office policies.

Should you feel the need to correct, update, or remove any personal information or have any questions, concerns, and/or clarifications regarding our Privacy Policy, or would like to report any threatened or actual breach of your Personal Data, you may accomplish such by communicating with BPCL through info@bpcllaw.com. 

Rest assured that in the event that BPCL Law verifies that there has been an actual data breach, or when there is reasonable belief by BPCL Law that a personal data breach requiring notification has occurred, it shall notify the National Privacy Commission and the affected data subjects of such data breach, in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and related laws and regulations.

This Privacy Policy and your use of this website shall be governed in all respects by the laws of the Philippines, including but not limited to the Data Privacy Act of 2012, together with its implementing rules and regulations.
